Before submitting, please make sure your abstract includes the following:
Word length: 250 – 400 words.
Citation style: Chicago author-date format; include full references at the end.
Discipline/field: Please indicate the discipline and field(s) of your proposed abstract. Use multiple labels as needed.
Bio: Please include a brief academic bio for yourself at the end of your abstract (50-75 words).
Your abstract will be judged by these criteria:
Is the abstract well written?
Is the topic original? Does it present new information?
Does it address an interdisciplinary audience?
Is the argument clearly stated? Does it frame its argument in terms of the discourse of Grateful Dead studies?
Does the paper demonstrate a thorough grounding in its discipline as well as Dead studies?
Does the paper make a useful contribution to the discourse?
