Before submitting, please make sure your abstract includes the following:
Word length: 250 – 300 words.
Citation style: Chicago author-date format; include full references at the end.
Discipline/field: Please indicate the discipline and field(s) of your proposed abstract. Use multiple labels as needed.
Bio: Please include a brief academic bio for yourself at the end of your abstract (50-75 words).
Your abstract will be judged by these criteria:
Is the abstract well written? Does it address an interdisciplinary audience? Is the argument clearly stated?
Does the paper demonstrate familiarity with its discipline/field? Does it frame its argument in terms of the discourse of Grateful Dead studies?
Is the paper original? Does it present new information?
Does the paper make a useful contribution to the discourse?
