Published biennially by the Grateful Dead Studies Association, Grateful Dead Studies is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal.
As an interdisciplinary academic periodical, Grateful Dead Studies is designed to appeal to scholars from a wide range of disciplines and theoretical perspectives, and should also interest those who study popular music, the 1960s, and the counterculture.
In addition to essays and reviews, volumes often include special sections and features that should also appeal to non-academic readers.
Print copies of the journal are provided to members of the Grateful Dead Studies Association as part of their membership. Grateful Dead Studies is an open source periodical and individual articles are available for free download to all readers who agree to abide by its terms.
